Corel Photo-Paint 9
Motion & the clone tool

To begin this exercise open an image,or you can download
this one. It was a complimentary image from Eyewire.

Open your Objects Dockerif it isn't already
open. Go to Window|Dockers|Object
|
|

Go up to Effects and choose: Effects|Blur|Zoom Use
a setting of 87 or so (you can go all the way to 100
if you can still see a vague outline of your person)
Click OK
What a mess! Sure doesn't look like much does it,
actually it looks like I've totally destroyed this
image. But wait.... |

Select your clone tool, it's in the brushes palette,
the one with 2 brushes.
Go to the properties bar and in the dropdown choose
the clone from saved
Use these settings: Nib 39 (or a good size for your
image, I ended up lowering mine to 20 for the thin arms)
Transparency 50 Soft Edge 80 |

Gently rub back the person, if you rub too much just
do an Edit|Undo
|

File|Save As, be sure to save in a Photo-Paint
image format for future alterations.
For the web save as a jpg as well.
