Angled Button
This is an button with angled sides. You’ll use a guide
and angled lines to help form the shape.

1. Open a new file (File|New) with a size of 600X100 and white.
2. Drag a horizontal guide out. The rulers have to be visible (View|Rulers).
3. Double-click on the gree guide line which you just placed, and type in 70 for the position.

4. Draw a rectangle of 100x30 using any fill you’d like
5. Select the Line tool. Press the Shift key to constrain to a 45
degree angle. Draw one to the left of the button and repeat for
the right side.
6. Position the left line to touch the top left point of the rectangle.
7. Position the right line to touch the lower bottom point.

The angled lines in position near the button to use as a guide to
distort the buttons sides.
8. Select the Distort tool and pull the top right corner point to
lean against the line you’ve drawn. Repeat for the bottom
left corner.

9. Double-click to accept the transformation.
10. Add an inner bevel (Effects menu, Bevel and Emboss|Inner Bevel)
with a Flat edge and a Width of 2.
11. Apply the default drop shadow.
12. This shape is great as a nav bar. Make copies and line them
up.
