CSS Hacks & Filters

by Joyce J Evans

I don't write many reviews these days because of time constraints but then a book such as CSS Hacks & Filters comes along and I feel compelled to share it with you :-)

I get so many readers asking about CSS resources that I would be remiss if I didn't get this review done :-) This book is a GREAT reference and resource to "fix" your CSS. As you know if you've worked with CSS at all--there a lot of work around or "hacks" needed to make your design look as intended in all or even most browsers.

CSS Hacks & Filters covers all the major browser fixes with great explanations in a easy to grab & fix reference book. It covers all the popular hacks as well as not as well known. It also gives you resources on where to go to find more information.

But the book goes beyond hacks, it also teaches you how to filter out certain browsers and more. Some of the highlights are building CSS navigation bars, using CSS Snippets, using the hacks in Dreamweaver and creating CSS-Savvy menus.

This is a must have reference for all serious minded CSS "students". With CSS I think we will be students forever! So much to learn, so little time. Let this book help cut down on some of the time needed for the learning curve!
