The Adobe Photoshop CS Book for Digital Photographers (Voices That Matter)

by Joyce J Evans

Each of the tutorials deal with a specific subject and is taught step by step. The presentation does not go into lengthy explanations, instead it is a step by step and task oriented type of book. You'll be given every setting needed to achieve the results of each particular task. The layout of the book is clean and easy to use -- not cluttered and confusing. It is also in full color and heavily illustrated.

I won't go through the entire list of techniques but I'll mention a some of the highlights. A very popular task is that of removing a person from their background. It utilizes the Extract tool but there is a trick used that will change the way you use Extract, but I'm not going to give it away :-)

Some of the other highlights include dealing with photos which have too much flash and/or digital noise. There a numerous tasks on making color corrections, retouching and body sculpting. There is an entire section of special effects such as mothin and replacing the sky and collaging images, panoramas and more.mage problems such asStudio portrait corrections,

There is also basic information such as resizing photos and burning to a CD. You'll also learn how to send photos via email, print, watermark, add copyrights, showing your work to your clients, custom picture packages and how to send a portfolio presentation to a client.

This is a great starting point for new users of Photoshop and have digital images that they want to make spectacular and professional looking.
