Macromedia Dreamweaver MX Fundamentals

If you learn better by seeing actions performed, then you may want to consider getting this CD. It has 186 movie tutorials which you can watch in order, stop, pause or skip around. A nice feature is that you can pause a movie, open Dreamweaver and perform the steps if you'd like. A separate CD is included which gives you the starter files for the samples. For comparison, there are also final finished files.

The format of the teaching is to teach all the tools and functions in Dreamweaver. They are taught by using sample files of a fictional company. You don't actually build the entire site in a linear fashion but you do perform all the steps involved in building the site through the various tutorials.

The teaching is presented in a very professional manner and is quite through. Mark has a wonderful presentational voice and style. You'll get more from the training if you utilize the ability to stop/pause the movie and perform the steps in Dreamweaver.

The audience for this CD is beginner. The tutorials will introduce you to more advanced topics such as CSS and connecting to a database.

This is a good place to start for beginners. There are a lot of tutorials arranged in a logical fashion, easy to navigate and a great value for the money.
